About this tool

Paste a list of numbers separated by commas, spaces, or new lines. You get count, sum, mean, median, mode (or no mode), range, minimum, maximum, sample and population standard deviation and variance, and the first and third quartiles (inclusive method). Non-numbers are listed and ignored so nothing is silently miscounted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sample or population standard deviation?

Sample divides the sum of squared differences by n − 1 and is used when your data is a sample. Population divides by n and is used when you have the whole group.

What if there is more than one mode?

All values that share the highest count are listed. If every value appears once, there is no mode.

Which quartile method is used?

Inclusive linear interpolation, the same as Excel’s QUARTILE.INC and NumPy’s default.

Is Statistics calculator completely free to use?

Yes. Statistics calculator on Omnipus is free to use with no subscription paywall for the tool itself.

Are my files or data uploaded to any servers?

No. Statistics calculator processes your input locally in this browser tab. Your files and text are not sent to Omnipus. Some tools download an engine or model file the first time you use them; that is a download, not an upload.

Can I use Statistics calculator on my mobile phone?

Yes. Omnipus has touch-friendly controls and can be installed as an app. On Android you can also share files or links into tools from other apps.
