About GIF to WebP
Converting a still GIF to WebP lifts the 256-color limit and usually produces a smaller file with smooth transparency. This converter keeps the first frame only.
Transparency is kept.
A quality slider controls the size/quality trade-off (90% by default).
Metadata such as EXIF and GPS location is not copied, because the image is redrawn on a canvas.
