How to use MOV to MP4
Drop a .mov file and tap Convert to MP4. The first run downloads the FFmpeg engine (~31 MB, cached afterwards). Keep the tab open until it finishes, then download the MP4.
Add your file
Drag & drop, browse files, or press Ctrl+V to paste from the clipboard where supported.
Process in the browser
Work stays in this tab with WebAssembly, Canvas, or other on-device APIs — your file is not uploaded to Omnipus.
Download or share
Save the result to your device, or share it with the OS share sheet when available.
About this tool
MOV is Apple’s QuickTime container; MP4 plays almost everywhere. If the MOV holds H.264 video, Omnipus copies it into an MP4 without re-encoding — fast and lossless. Many iPhones record HEVC (H.265) instead, which is re-encoded to H.264 on your device; that works but can take a while, especially on phones. Audio is copied when it is AAC and converted to AAC otherwise. Files up to about 100 MB, never uploaded.
