What if the password is wrong?

You get a clear error. Try again with the correct password. Some rare encryption schemes are not supported in the browser.

Does unlocking keep selectable text?

When decryption succeeds, the unlocked copy is saved as a normal PDF with content intact — not a raster workaround.

Is Unlock PDF completely free to use?

Are my files or data uploaded to any servers?
