About GIF to JPG
A still JPG of a GIF is handy for thumbnails, previews, and sites that do not accept GIFs. JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with a background color.
Animated GIF files keep only their first frame.
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you pick (white by default).
A quality slider controls the size/quality trade-off (90% by default).
Metadata such as EXIF and GPS location is not copied, because the image is redrawn on a canvas.
