How to use PDF to EUR (folhas de férias)

Drop one or more PDF holiday sheets onto the workspace and press Read PDFs. Pick Euro totals to see each amount with its label, a subtotal per file, and a grand total — lines labelled Total or Subtotal are left out of the sum by default so nothing is counted twice. Pick Full table to export every row of the sheet, one worksheet per PDF. Download the XLSX workbook — amounts are real numbers formatted in euros, ready to sum — or a CSV in Excel PT/EU format (semicolon, decimal comma) or International (comma, decimal dot). Everything runs in your browser; the PDFs are never uploaded.

About this tool

Turn PDF holiday and vacation sheets — Portuguese folhas de férias, subsídio de férias statements, payslip-style summaries — into numbers you can work with. Omnipus reads the text layer of each PDF with PDF.js, finds euro amounts in the formats Portuguese and international documents use (1.234,56 €, € 1 234,56, 1234,56 EUR, 1,234.56, negatives such as -50,00 or (50,00)), and keeps the row and column text next to each amount so you know what it is. Choose Euro totals for a list with a subtotal per file and a grand total, or Full table to rebuild the rows and columns of the sheet and download it as an Excel workbook (XLSX, amounts as real euro numbers) or CSV for Numbers, LibreOffice, or Google Sheets. Dates, percentages, day counts, and NIF or IBAN numbers are ignored. Scanned paper sheets have no text layer — run those through Image to Text (OCR) first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a folha de férias?

A holiday or vacation sheet: the document Portuguese employers and payroll software produce with vacation days, holiday pay (subsídio de férias), and related amounts in euros.

Which euro formats are recognised?

Portuguese and European formats like 1.234,56 €, 1 234,56 € and 1234,56 EUR, international 1,234.56, amounts with € before or after, and negatives written as -1.234,56, 1.234,56- or (1.234,56). Without a € or EUR sign, a number needs two decimals to count as money.

Will totals be counted twice?

By default no. Lines labelled Total or Subtotal are listed but left out of the sum. Untick the option if you want them included.

Can I get an Excel file?

Yes. Every run gives you an .xlsx workbook with a bold header row, amounts as real numbers formatted in euros, and subtotal and grand-total rows; Full table puts each PDF on its own worksheet. A CSV is included too — pick the Excel PT/EU format so Portuguese Excel reads decimal commas correctly.

Does it work with scanned sheets?

Only PDFs with selectable text. For a scan or a phone photo, run Image to Text (OCR) first and check the numbers it reads.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Reading, parsing, and CSV export all happen in this tab. Holiday sheets contain personal data, so nothing is sent to Omnipus.

Is PDF to EUR (folhas de férias) completely free to use?

Yes. PDF to EUR (folhas de férias) on Omnipus is free to use with no subscription paywall for the tool itself.

Are my files or data uploaded to any servers?

No. PDF to EUR (folhas de férias) processes your input locally in this browser tab. Your files and text are not sent to Omnipus. Some tools download an engine or model file the first time you use them; that is a download, not an upload.

Does Omnipus add watermarks to exported files?

No. Omnipus does not stamp a site watermark onto files you export from PDF to EUR (folhas de férias).

Can I use PDF to EUR (folhas de férias) on my mobile phone?

Yes. Omnipus has touch-friendly controls and can be installed as an app. On Android you can also share files or links into tools from other apps.
