About AVIF to PNG
AVIF files saved from websites often will not open in older editors, Office, or messaging apps. PNG opens everywhere and keeps transparency, at the cost of a bigger file.
Animated AVIF files keep only their first frame.
Transparency is kept.
Metadata such as EXIF and GPS location is not copied, because the image is redrawn on a canvas.
