About WebP to ICO
Logos downloaded as WebP can become favicons or Windows icons directly, with transparency kept at every size.
Animated WebP files keep only their first frame.
Transparency is kept.
The .ico contains 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, and 256 px sizes. Non-square images are centered without stretching.
Metadata such as EXIF and GPS location is not copied, because the image is redrawn on a canvas.
